This 1947 Regency Symphony is a two-way unit with radio and record player. This unit contains a separate FM (frequency modulation) unit. Although FM was patented in 1933, the first commercial station did not go on the air until 1941, W47NV in Nashville, Tenn. FM became more available after World War II, and initially Magnavox offered it as an “add-on”.
